The Drone guidance system (Unmanned Arial Vehicle) is the eyes of the emergency situation carrying infra red cameras for smoke or night vision to video stream an accurate assessment of the situation whether a natural catastrophe or man made incident.
The video stream goes to the communication centre and is relayed to the field commanders in real time so they have immediate understanding of the situation. This gives them a real time decision making tool so they can take action quickly to allocate resources and increase safety for their crews and the general public.
A UAV can operate for extended periods but the current video stream data lasts for 30 minutes with a 2 kilometre radius before needing recharged with the current low cost model.
Larger UAV's used for military and agribusiness applications are available that carry hyperspectral imagery as well as infra-red cameras with extended battery time before being recharged. The costs of these are specific to your need.
